Welcome to my personal blog where you can learn a little about me as a potential consultant or copywriter for you. Although I can and will provide the usual facts like in a resume, I thought I’d share a few personal views and my own perspectives.  My business passion is marketing because of what well executed marketing can do for any business in terms of more profits and- just as important – the impact this growth can have personally and professional on those running the business and their families and loved ones.

My passion for marketing was first inspired by Jay Abraham, highest paid marketing consultant in the world. I was fortunate enough to be part of Jay’s two year Ultimate Marketing Research Lab where a few hundred business owners and consultants focused on improved marketing and breakthrough ideas to grow their business. I led twenty participants as a facilitator throughout the program where we met in person every six months. The lab was enlightening, inspiring, motivational- an amazing experience. I was further inspired by Jay when my clients and I met individually with Jay for a four hour session- with this relationship continuing for quite a few months. From my initial experiences with Jay, I met and learned from an amazing group of other leading consultants and still keep learning to this day. This knowledge has not only helped me grow but helped me to provide more value to my clients.

In addition to marketing another related business passion of mine is copywriting, first inspired by Brian Keith Voiles who developed a course called “Advertising Magic”, still in my opinion one of the most comprehensive programs about writing good copy. Another inspiring copywriter that had a great influence on me was Bob Bly who McGraw Hill called “America’s top copywriter.” Bob has published so many books on copywriting, it is hard to name them all.

Copywriting is my passion because, if you think about it, no products get sold, no one benefits until something is sold. Copywriting has been called “salesmanship in print” because it provides a way to reach lots of people without meeting without communicating with them face to face. When it comes to copy, I’m continually focused on taking my skills to the next level- and in that regard, you’d fine hundreds of books in my library written by copywriting masters as far back as the 1920s. Their writing pinciples still apply today even though most marketers and copywriters haven’t discovered them.

Technology and specifically the Internet, as it relates to marketing and communications, is another one of my business passions because the Internet changed the world in much the same way as the Guttenberg printing press changed the world by making information more widely available. There are diffences between marketing on the Internet and offline although many of the same core principles apply. What’s exciting about the Internet is the many options you have for communications such as online video. For little cost, you can communicate personally with a huge audience. My other fascination with the Internet is how it has made the world smaller. I’ve made friends all over the world who are as passionate about marketing as I am- and have grown from it.
